Zakal focused much of his reign on securing the regional prominance of Zaksburg, transforming it from a minor village in northern Erazel into a bustling city along the Goric frontier.  He is responsible for the Cathedral of Theori and orchestrated the marriage that united House Aldrimar and House Burgan in his grandson Bonifacio.
